Children's Mental Health Advocate of the Year Dr. Ebony Clarke
Congratulations to Ebony Clarke, LCSW, for winning the Oregon Children's Mental Health Advocate of the Year award. With 24 years of experience, Ebony has been a leader in meeting the diverse needs of Oregon's population and supporting the psychiatric community. Her roles include Senior Manager of Direct Clinical Services at Multnomah County's Behavioral Health Dept., Service Director of Child and Family Services at Lifeworks NW, and Director of Multnomah County Health Department. Ebony has served on various committees, including the Lake Oswego School District Board Appointed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Governor Kitzhaber and Governor Brown appointed her to influential boards, and Ebony has contributed expertise to organizations like the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Psychiatric Physicians Association. Notably, she participated in the annual Oregon Medical Association meeting on youth suicide prevention. Ebony's resilience, stemming from a challenging upbringing, is evident in her commitment to improving the health of all Oregonians. Her advocacy for quality care for youth, support for prevention, and emphasis on self-care during challenging times make her a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist of the Year Dr. Rebecca Marshall
Congratulations to Dr. Rebecca Marshall, MD, MPH, for winning the Oregon Council's Child Psychiatrist of the Year award. Dr. Marshall has demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to Oregon's youth and families, leaving a significant impact in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. As the President of the Oregon Council, Dr. Marshall brought a fresh perspective and played a crucial role in advancing the profession. Her extensive contributions include serving as Associate Professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at OHSU, where she graduated from the combined MD/MPH program. Over the years, Dr. Marshall has worked tirelessly in research, clinical care, teaching, and publications, addressing the most critical needs of youth and families. She currently serves as the Director of OHSU's Data, Evaluation, and Technical Assistance for Children's Mental Health, overseeing important programs like Crisis and Transition Services (CATS), Intensive In-home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT), and the Oregon Wraparound System. Dr. Marshall's research interests encompass topics such as Ketamine for Suicidal Youth, Treatment Refractory Depression, and Suicide Prevention among Adolescents through app-based interventions. Her commitment to youth suicide prevention is evident in her involvement with the Oregon Alliance to Prevent Suicide Data and Evaluation Subcommittee and her meaningful contributions to the Youth Suicide Intervention and Prevention Plan (YSIPP 2.0). Dr. Marshall's leadership extends to national platforms, as seen in her role as the discussant for "Pediatric Mental Health Boarding Crisis" at the annual AACAP meeting and as a panelist on youth suicide prevention at the Oregon Medical Association meeting. In summary, Dr. Rebecca Marshall has distinguished herself through outstanding service to Oregon's youth, impactful contributions to the field, and exemplary leadership within the profession. She is highly deserving of the Oregon Council's Child Psychiatrist of the Year award.
